You can find an example of a dashboard that uses Google Maps in a default distribution of Pentaho. The files that you should be aware of are:

• {pentaho}/jboss/server/default/deploy/pentaho.war/jsp/Map.jsp
• {pentaho}/jboss/server/default/deploy/pentaho.war/js/google-demo.js
• the action sequence (xaction) files in {pentaho}/pentaho-solutions/samples/google

The jsp file defines the dashboard element. The js file handles the calls to Google. You might want to change the default longitude and latitude in this file to centre the map on your location by default. The xaction files define the actual actions you can make on the map.
